Heading into Christmas this week, Kodak Black continues to give back. The rapper, who is currently incarcerated in connection with a federal weapons case, is using his funds to give presents to low-income families this season.

According to Kodak’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, the rapper is giving away thousands of dollars this Christmas to charities, religious institutions and families. He’s authorized his team to buy toys for the Paradise Day Care Center in Broward County, FL, which will give the presents to children from 70 different families.

TMZ reports that the kids range from ages 2 to 7 and will receive an array of bikes, dolls and more. Furthermore, Kodak will donate money and presents to one Florida family with a blind child. Via the LightHouse For The Blind Organization, Kodak will gift braille presents, voice-activated games, iPads, bedding and mattresses.

According to TMZ, Kodak has also signed off on a $1,000 donation to Rabbi Kaplan of the Downtown Jewish Center Chabad in Fort Lauderdale, which will be used toward the construction of a new synagogue. In total, Kodak’s donations span over $8,000.

“[Kodak] is doing ok, hes keeping faith and the appeal regarding his sentence is progressing,” Cohen wrote on Instagram. “In the meantime hes still doing good in the community. Most of the time he donates anonymously and tells me not to let anyone know, but sometimes you have to push back negatively and let people see why I always say he’s a good guy with a good heart.”

This past Thanksgiving, Kodak continued his annual tradition of gifting individuals with grocery store gift cards and providing Thanksgiving dinners to low-income families.

Kodak was previously sentenced to 46 months in prison for falsifying applications to buy guns. He was also hit with two counts of additional weapons charges and faces up to 30 years in prison with each charge. However, back in November, Kodak’s attorney filed a notice to appeal the case.
