Amanda Seales will reportedly be joining the ladies on “The Real” as a permanent host. According to Page Six, the announcement was made on Friday (Dec. 20) that Seales will be the fifth co-host on the show, as she will sit alongside Loni Love, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Jeannie Mai and Adrienne Houghton beginning in 2020.
“She guest co-hosted on the show for a while and they loved her,” a source reportedly told TheJasmineBrand. “She really connected with the audience!”
Page Six reports that the show’s producers are excited for Seales’ addition, saying that she will “diversify the points of view expressed” on the talk show. The source added, “Everyone is really excited about her coming on!”
On another note, Seales recently took to social media to accuse Kim Kardashian of blackface and appropriation. Kim recently appeared on the latest cover of 7Hollywood Magazine and her complexion was visibly darker.
In a portion of the nearly seven-minute clip, Sealed said, “But what is there to say? What is there to say? WHAT IS THERE TO SAY? Cause what folks will say is but she has black children. Stop it! But she’s middle eastern. Stop it. But she’s helping black people get out of jail. Stop it!”
The “Insecure” star went on to say, “An entire team of people let it happen because they don’t care. She don’t care. She got a black daughter and she don’t care. Y’all be praising this sh-t, that’s why she don’t care. You should care. It’s somebody is trying to take your rhythm but not know your blues.”
Seales also accused the Kardashian of stealing from Black culture. “They don’t give reverence,” she said. “They don’t pay homage. No. They mimic, they take, they commodify. This is a constant thing that they do, forreal. They give nothing back. It’s all depletion with no replenishment. They can’t give nothing back, because we don’t want what they got.”
