Could Kanye West and Joel Osteen be taking the rapper’s Sunday Service on tour?

According to reports from TMZ, following ‘Ye and Osteen’s sit-down and joint performance in Houston last month, they announced plans to perform at NYC’s Yankee Stadium in May. The outlet says that the pair are now considering taking their show on the road to other cities. In fact, Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago is a tentative stop on the list.

At the time, there are no additional details on the forthcoming tour.

However, Kanye will be bringing his Sunday Service choir to Osteen’s “America’s Night of Hope” sermon at Yankee Stadium on May 2, 2020. The May performance would be Osteen’s third time bringing his sermon to the stadium, which holds over 54,000 people.

Kanye and his choir performed at Osteen’s Lakewood church in front of 45,000 people. The tickets for prior “America’s Night of Hope” sermons were $15, but TMZ reports that the addition of Kanye could cause a spike in the price.

During his appearance at Lakewood, Kanye defended Osteen against his critics. He said at the time, “There’s a lot of people in the Christian community that give Joel a hard time because when you turn on the video, he keeps showing you how good God is.”

He also spoke on attending church as a child. “There’s a blatant responsibility for me to become more like my mother, who’s gone to heaven, and more like my father, who’s building a water purification center in the DR,” Kanye said.

On his newfound faith, Kanye explained that he had been distracted by the devil. “I know that God’s been calling me for a long time and the devil’s been distracting me for a long time,” said Ye. “When I was at my lowest points, God was there with me and sending me visions and inspiring me.”
