Andrea “Drea” Kelly is letting it be known that she has nothing to do with Lifetime’s second installment of “Surviving R. Kelly.” The “Step In The Name of Love” singer’s ex-wife, is planning to sue Lifetime for using her image in their promo.

Drea has multiple reasons why she does not want to participate in part two of the docuseries, although she participated in the first part. According to TMZ, “She says she got a lot of negative backlash from the public after the series aired, but on top of that, she has many grievances with the network and production company. She says her requests to not contact her kids and family members about ‘Part II’ were ignored, and there has been a general lack of support, security and aftercare for survivors who participated.”

The trailer for “Surviving R. Kelly Part II: The Reckoning” makes it look like she was involved in it. It features a clip of Drea from the original “Surviving R. Kelly” documentary. Drea says she wants to reiterate, “she has no involvement, did not approve any footage or stills of her likeness and is not actively promoting, nor consulting the follow-up series.”

TMZ also reports that R. Kelly’s other ex, Lisa Van Allen, was featured in the promo, but had nothing to do with the second documentary. She said, “They’re being really messy. They’re adding new people in there that aren’t credible and it’s kind of gonna be like a reality show.”

“Surviving R. Kelly Part II: The Reckoning” will be a two night, four-hour special. The special will take a look into the cultural impact in the aftermath of the first special. It will also give viewers the rundown on everything that has happened to the “Trapped In The Closet” singer since it premiered, including the termination of his record contract, the gun threat at the docuseries’ premiere, the state charges against Kelly and the pair of federal indictments.
