Lauren London pays tribute to Nipsey Hussle in Puma campaign

The marathon continues.

Grab your tissues because Lauren London has teamed up with Puma in their “Forever Strong” campaign, and it is sure to make you shed a few tears.

The actress created the heartfelt video as a tribute to her late boyfriend, Nipsey Hussle. In the video, London narrates a poem written by Hussle’s sister, Samantha Smith. She says, “There is nothing to hide here. No way to pretend. We relate, we disagree, we disengage. We are running into each other. We are the song that writes itself. The melody replays in the key of elevated living. We forget the words, we never forget the feeling. Glory and divinity conduct our symphony.” The video takes viewers on a journey through the Los Angeles streets that Hussle once roamed.

“Lauren London is proud to join forces with PUMA to support her on this next chapter of her journey,” reads the YouTube description. “This piece was a creative vision Lauren wanted to bring to life to signify the continuation of her marathon alongside PUMA. Forever Stronger.”

Hussle was tragically killed in front of his Marathon Clothing store, after allegedly confronting Eric Holder about being a snitch. Holder reportedly shot Hussle multiple times and is currently awaiting trial. He plead not guilty to his murder charges and if convicted, Holder will face a maximum sentence of life in prison.

Prior to his death, Hussle worked with Puma to create a capsule collection with his apparel store The Marathon Clothing. The line featured 19 pieces and was released posthumously in September 2019, almost six months after his death. GQ recently released a long form piece dedicated to Hussle that was told from the viewpoint of his friends and family. London opened up about how their three-year-old son, Kross, still asks for his father. “I can’t talk about our last day together, and I still have to be strong for my children,” she said.” I have a three-year-old that’s still asking, ‘Where is Daddy?’ He doesn’t understand the concept of death.”
