Kanye West still has presidential aspirations.

TMZ reports that during Kanye’s appearance at the Fast Company Innovation Festival on Thursday (Nov. 7), he told the crowd that he still plans to make a bid for president. “When I run for president in 2024, we gonna definitely…” Kanye said before being interrupted by laughter from the crowd. “What y’all laughing for?” the rapper asked before continuing.

‘Ye then said, “When I run for president in 2024, we would’ve created so many jobs that I’m not gonna run, I’m gonna walk.”

Kanye also spoke on empowering the Black community. “They don’t want us to know that we can buy land. They don’t want us to have the 100 percent ownership. I have 100 percent ownership at Yeezy. And the reason that I say these things out loud is so that I won’t be killed. But last year I was killed by the press for having an opinion,” he said.

Kanye announced at the 2015 MTV Video Music awards that he planned to run for president in 2020. He later revealed that he will be running in 2024 instead. He tweeted back in April, “When we become president we have to change the name of the plane from Air Force one to Yeezy force one…yes I said we.”

In other Kanye-related news, his latest album, Jesus Is King, has become his ninth consecutive chart-topping record. The album, which debuted at No. 1, ties him with Eminem for the longest Billboard Top 200 No. 1 streak in history. We previously reported that Nielsen Music revealed that Jesus Is King earned 264,000 equivalent album units during its first week, with 109,000 units coming from album sales, while the rest were online streams.

The only album Kanye released that did not debut at No. 1 was his first, College Drop Out, which landed at No. 2 in 2004.
