Although he’s currently behind bars, Kodak Black is continuing his charitable tradition this holiday season.

On Tuesday (Nov. 26), the rapper’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, took to Instagram to share an image of gift cards for Publix grocery store.

“[Kodak Black] as usual with every Thanksgiving and Christmas starts gifting early and this year, besides giving to charitable organizations like recently providing [Thanksgiving] dinner to 75 needy families for Paradise Childcare, childcare for low income families in need…he is giving away 1000s of dollars in Publix gift cards directly to needy families in Broward and Dade County for Thanksgiving,” Cohen wrote in the post.

“You might be surprised by someone walking up to you on the street and handing you a gift card to Publix, Walmart or Target. He cont. even from jail the determination trying to give back everyday,” he continued.

On Wednesday (Nov. 27), one recipient of Kodak’s charity came forward on Instagram to share how the gift has already helped her and her family.

“I had the pleasure of meeting [Bradford Cohen] yesterday and with his help [Kodak Black] blessed my family with 2 gift cards and toys to start my kids Christmas!” she wrote. “I wasn’t expecting my day to go this way but God. I’m so grateful to you both.”

Kodak posted the woman’s message to his own Instagram, adding, “You Become Strong By Lifting Others Up, Not By Putting Them Down.”

Earlier this month, the rapper was sentenced to 46 months in prison for falsifying applications to purchase firearms. Recently, he was hit with two counts of additional weapons charges for possession of a firearm while being a convicted felon. With each count, he faces up to 30 years in prison as he’s now recognized as a “habitual violent offender.” However, last week, Kodak’s attorneys filed a notice of appeal for his case.
