Post Malone, Cardi B, Lil Nas X, Khalid and more took home trophies at the 2019 American Music Awards. Held on Sunday (Nov. 24) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, the awards show saw performances from host Ciara, Lizzo, Toni Braxton and more.

Post Malone won the coveted Favorite Rap/ Hip Hop Album with Hollywood’s Bleeding, beating out Meek Mill and Travis Scott.

“I’m not too good at talking in front of people but I just wanna say thank you so much to everybody who showed love and support,” he said during his acceptance speech. “And honestly, words cannot express how grateful and thankful I am for everything that y’all have shown me. I just wanna say thank you to everybody on the camp and on the team and thank you for all the fans for showing love and support. We busted our ass for it so, you know, it feels good to walk away and, uh, we love you very much and I love grapes. So, thank you so much.”

Fans had mixed reactions toward Posty’s win, arguing that the album shouldn’t have beaten out Championships and Astroworld.

“Post Malone. Best Rap Album. Get the entire fu*ck outta here,” one Twitter user wrote.

“I f*ck with Post Malone. But he shouldn’t have won best rap album…. not rap…” another said.

Cardi B won Favorite Rap/ Hip Hop Artist over Drake and Post Malone, which she accepted from home while wearing a fluffy bathrobe and towel around her hair.

“I wanna say thank you everybody for voting for me for this AMA award, I’m so grateful that I won this AMA award,” she said on the video, also acknowledging her recent Soul Train Awards win . “I’m sorry to my fans, I know I’ve been off the scene. I’ve been busy every fu*cking night, every muthafu*king day in the studio… so I can deliver some good ol’ music to y’all in 2020.”

Other winners included Lil Nas X for Favorite Rap / Hip Hop Song for his Billy Ray Cyrus-featuring “Old Town Road,” Beyonce for Favorite Female Soul / R&B Artist and Bruno Mars for Favorite Male Soul / R&B Artist.

Khalid received a total of three awards—Favorite Soul / R&B Song for “Talk,” Favorite Soul / R&B Album for Free Spirit and Favorite Male Pop / Rock Artist.
