Lizzo is looking at a new lawsuit.

According to TMZ, a Postmates driver named Tiffany Wells has taken legal action against the “Truth Hurts” singer. In the lawsuit, which has been obtained by the outlet, Wells said that Lizzo made life rather difficult for her when she took to social media and put her on blast, claiming she stole her food while delivering an order to Lizzo’s hotel in Boston back in September.

“Hey @Postmates this girl Tiffany W. stole my food she lucky I don’t fight no more,” Lizzo tweeted at the time, along with a picture of Wells. Wells reportedly tried to get in contact with Lizzo at the hotel, but left after she could not get a hold of her.

Lizzo received backlash after shaming the Postmates driver, which resulted in her deleting her tweet and apologizing. “I apologize for putting that girl on blast. I understand that I have a large following and that there were so many variables that could’ve put her in danger,” Lizzo tweeted. “Imma [sic] really be more responsible with my use of social media and check my petty and my pride at the door.”

Wells is suing Lizzo for defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress. She says that she fears leaving her home to go to work following the incident. Also, because of the situation, she no longer works for Postmates and claims that she was subject to ridicule, humiliation, and stress.

According to Vibe, Postmates delivery drivers are allowed to leave a location if they are unable to get in contact with the customer within a certain amount of time.

Wells also said that Postmates sided with her in the incident, and she went on to make her next delivery after she was not able to reach Lizzo at her hotel.
