Over the weekend, Tyler, the Creator hosted his annual Camp Flog Gnaw festival at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. The Sunday (Nov. 10) set headliner had been kept a secret from fans, but rumors had circulated that Frank Ocean, Tyler’s close buddy, would make a surprise appearance. Instead, Drake took the stage on Sunday evening and was met with some disappointed fans.

“Like I said, I’m here for you,” Drizzy addressed the crowd after performing his Nothing Was The Same cut, “Wu-Tang Forever.”

“If you want to keep going, I’ll keep going tonight. What’s up?” he said. “If you want me to keep going, I will keep going tonight.”

The crowd could be heard booing and replying to his question with “No!”

Despite the reaction, Drake stayed pleasant and left the stage, adding, “It’s been love. I go by the name of Drake, thank you for having me.”

According to festival goers, Drake followed surprise guest performances from A$AP Rocky and Lil Uzi Vert. Some fans claimed on social media that the set’s organization was to blame over the crowd’s lackluster response.

“[Drake] then says he has 2 more songs and people are like cool there’s still a half hour that means more performances. He finished the two songs and says do you guys want more? And everyone was like uhh maybe? Like no one knew what was happening,” one Twitter user shared. “And so apparently he didn’t like the response so he just walked off, and then nothing. Literally stood there for 15 minutes not knowing if it was over or what the f*ck was happening.”

Even without the surprise guests, Camp Flog Gnaw hosted a star-studded lineup. Solange, YG, BROCKHAMPTON, Juice WRLD, H.E.R., Daniel Caesar, 21 Savage, DaBaby, Earl Sweatshirt, Blood Orange, FKA twigs, Tyler, the Creator and more performed at the two-day festival.
