Back in June, Justine Skye and Timbaland unleashed their Space and Time. The duo dropped off a handful of carefully crafted visuals so far from the project, including the Rema-assisted “Twisted Fantasy” and the leading single “Intruded.” Last night (Aug 4), she made her return with the freshly released “In My Bag” video. In the new visual, Justine delivers her lyrics about working for what she’s got:
When I’m in my bag my phone stay in my bag/ I’ma have to call you back when I’m done throwin’ it back, back/ I work so hard, so I can throw this cash and I’ma make it all right back
This got me up in my bag, yeah, pullin’ up new G wagon/ Look at us, ooh, we braggin’ look at me kill this fashion, and I ain’t gon let up/ Know these bitches mad at me soon as they get up/ Know your man lookin’ at my page when he get up/ Know the cash, hit the bank when the phone lit up
The clip is directed by Loris Russier while boasting concept and creative direction by E&E Creative. The video starts off subtly interweaving components of the overall futuristic theme the entire project has, before switching gears to show Justine enjoying a typically normal day out in the city with her girls. However, viewers are in for a treat when the video ends with the return of the space and technology theme from the beginning.
The entire album boasts production from the legendary Timbaland. Skye made sure to give us a peek into what the creation process was like as she pairs the release with the official documentary for fans to tune into. “We made this album in the middle of such a crazy moment in history and we’re finally here, almost a year later,” she writes. “This whole process is something I will remember for the rest of my life and I wanted to share that with you guys. I’ll never get these moments back and I’m so grateful for everyone who’s been apart of this journey.”
