Jay Critch released his last project Critch Tape a few months ago, and has kept his momentum with visuals and singles since. After dropping off videos for cuts like “Been That” and “2020 Vision,” “Go 2 Hell” from the same project, he’s now back to deliver a change of pace as he shares a loose track “Built For This.” On the new song, Jay Critch talks his talk about how he’s ready for the life he chose:

Young and growing up I had dreams I wanna ball, n***as locked up I ain’t tryna be missing calls/ Coming where we came from we ain’t had nothing at all, sometimes I gotta sit back and think about it all/ I’m built for this, I could never fold bitch you know I’m built for this

Hands clean but a n***a getting filthy rich, this ice on me I know some n***as would kill for this/ But this clip on me you get pills for this, I know money come with problems so I’m ready/ When I watch my back and I keep one up where I’m headed

Last year, Jay Critch closed out his 2020 by releasing his Signed With Love project. Clocking in at 11 tracks in just under 30 minutes, the body of work has received accompanying visuals such as “Take Out,” “Talk,” and “Been That.” Last year, he also shared a couple loose tracks, including cuts like “Bronny.” He can also be heard on recent tracks like “Execute” with Tank God, Slayer’s “OUTSIDE,” and “Get A Bag” with DJ Cruz and STVSH.

Jay Critch released his debut project back in 2018 as a newly signed artist. Equipped with 12 songs, Hood Favorite was a solid introduction that also included features from Offset, and brought together 3 fellow NYC heads on “Try It” featuring French Montana and Fabolous. Since then, he’s dropped off a couple loosies including “Cameras,” “I’m a Star,” and “Dreams In A Wraith.” Before that, he was a part of the 4th installment of the Rich Forever mixtape series alongside his frequent collaborators Rich The Kid and Famous Dex.
