It’s not easy being able to rap and sing at a high level, especially simultaneously. Chicago artist Tink has been putting on for the city for some time now. Since she stepped on the scene back in 2012 with the release of her debut mixtape Winter’s Diary, she’s been poised for nothing short of greatness. The way she floats over the right production with those sultry vibes is always a gift in itself. With Tink being looked at as one of the voices for young women with men issues, she is pretty much like an open book on her releases. You’d swear she had your diary in the studio with her on majority of her projects. Today (July 30), Tink returns with her sophomore studio album Heat Of The Moment.

The album is executive produced by one of the most versatile producers in the game, Hitmaka. If you are familiar with how Hitmaka operates on wax, you will know that this album is another one of his great ones he has under his belt now.

As Tink fans may know, the artist signed to Timbaland’s Mosley Music Group at a young age and felt the need to break free. “At the time when I was going through being released, that was all I thought about: ‘I sat down for two years under a label and I honestly felt more free when I was by myself,’” she said in one of her more recent interviews. She laid low for a decent amount of time but was always up for hitting the restart button. “I’m not scarred though,” she adds. “If they come with the right situation and it’s something that I think would help my career in a lot of ways instead of hurting it. Right now, I’m enjoying the ride.”

Heat Of The Moment is one of Tink’s best projects to date. Press play and catch a vibe.
