Jooselord drops energetic video for “Quarantine”

The Chef-produced cut follows last year’s ‘Moshpit Messiah’ project.

A few years ago, NYC-to-Durham, NC rising star Jooselord began making a name for himself on the hip hop scene as a rave-inducing talent, much in the same vein as legends like Busta Rhymes, Travis Scott, and the late DMX. Unfortunately, his stage act was cut short thanks to last year’s Coronavirus pandemic, which landed everyone on the planet in their homes and — if you were less fortunate — in the hospital. Not letting the situation stop his forward movement, last October then saw Jooselord liberate his newest body of work Moshpit Messiah, a 19-track offering that saw additional features from KONVO, 3amsound, SoFree Wisdom, and Terron Parks.

Fast forward to the end of last month, when Jooselord decided to keep the momentum going via his latest single “Quarantine,” a track that sees him reflecting on last year’s challenges over production from The Chef. The track is also accompanied by a matching visual courtesy of Pat Lincoln that takes Jooseworld’s incredible energy and puts it in a room with a crew of associates, all dressed in black while partying hard to the music.

Via press release, Jooselord further explained the meaning behind the single and matching clip:

“I wrote this song about how it felt to be locked in during quarantine. It’s a song for people to vent about those feelings they felt.”

Back in 2018, Jooselord liberated two projects, S.K.U.L.L (Nights I Can’t Remember) and S.K.U.L.L (Days I Won’t Forget), on the same day, altogether blessing the masses with 30 dope cuts with assists from Jovi Monsconi, Iron Mic, Kain, TheDeeepend, Sean Kyd, and more. In that same time frame, he further raised his profile within the Tar Heel state, scoring top honors for Best New Artist and Best Hip Hop (Male) during that year’s Carolina Music Awards.
