It’s been a cool minute since we’ve gotten a full-length project from Roy Woods, but it seems as though the OVO signee is slowly revving up his engine once again. Earlier this year, he joined Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike for their “Too Much” collab single, and now Woods makes his return with his brand new “Touch You” release. On the track, he makes his intentions known:

I think I need a (I think I need a) a little bit of inspiration/ When can we meet up? (When can we meet up?)/ So I can come and sex you, baby/ Lil’ mamacita (Lil’ mamacita)I’m tryna get you down with us

Oh, you know the kids up Picture me around a villa, oh/ Fuck a Covid-19 (Fuck a Covid-19) Long as I get to see that body on a beach, Oh, and your lil’ two-piece/ Tryna see you in the Bahamas, under the seas

In 2020, Roy Woods took part in a slew of singles and also dropped off his six-track EP titled Dem Times. Some of the other collab singles include “Drugs & Love” with Swagger Rite, “So High” with TM88 and Wiz Khalifa, a remix of Tinie Tempah’s “Moncler,” and “Juliet & Romeo” with Martin Solveig.

In an interview from last year, one of his only most recent ones, Woods delves deep into how he does some soul-searching for his music. “I just had to go through life, to be honest, and let the experiences talk through the music,” he says. “I needed to be attached to feelings again. I was going through a lot – very dark, dark places – and I had needed to go back into the old me, and what I used to do before I even got signed.”
