Back in December, Tobe Nwigwe unveiled Cincoriginals, a 14-track masterpiece that saw additional appearances from the likes of Trae Tha Truth, Killa Kyleon, Bun B, Cyhi The Prynce, D Smoke, Black Thought, Royce da 5’9”, Big K.R.I.T., and — of course — Tobe’s wife Fat and go-to producer LaNell Grant. Since then, the Houston emcee has continued to bless fans with visuals from the well-received released, as well as loose cuts like “A Million,” “Wake Up Everybody,” and “A Revealing Freestyle” — a joyful drop that also announced Fat’s pregnancy.

This week, Nwigwe liberates a new single titled “Fye Fye,” which — in addition to Tobe’s own brand of rewind-worthy bars — features a full-on verse from Fat, who lets the listener in on who she is and her own colorful background:

“Oh God, I’m extra petite, but the hood call me Fat, fire on me like Shadrach and Meshach, I keep peace for the scrap, throw up the West, yuh, but let’s just keep it a stack, I was raised in Grand Rapids, my pops was inactive, my mama was forced to adapt, she held it down, that’s nothin’ new, I’m Black in America, raised in the slums, came up from crumbs, now we cool with Erykah, ooh, yeah, I’m talkin’ Badu/”

If you’ve been a fan of Tobe Nwigwe and his creative approach, then you already know what to expect when it comes to his bright, energetic visuals. Both Tobe, Fat, LaNell, and a bevy of crew members are all seen in cyan (or teal) colors while dancing and changing positions in choreographic fashion on top of a basketball court. Simply put, it’s absolute impossible to watch this and not find yourself partying along with Tobe and his growing village.
