Back in September, Baby Keem dropped his two-song pack for his tracks “hooligan” and “sons & critics.” It’s about that time again, as he releases his latest single “no sense,” which was preceded with a post sharing the cover artwork that follows the exact same artistic style of the tracks that came before it. On the new song, the opening bars find Keem trying to make sense of everything:

Are you mad at me? Are you irritated? I let you duck me, then you celebrated/ Are you showin’ off because you with your friends, dawg? Don’t be showin’ out when you with your friends, dawg/ Don’t be showin’ out when you with your mans, dawg. Please don’t let me catch him on my ends, dawg/ It’s a thousand ways to misunderstand, dawg. It’s a thousand ways that we can make amends, dawg/ And you know he only love you when your pants off/ I showed you light, I showed you grown man talk/

Baby Keem’s last full-length project was 2019’s DIE FOR MY BITCH, which is equipped with 14 songs and boasts his breakout hit “ORANGE SODA.” Prior to that was The Sound of Bad Habit from 2018. He garnered a lot of exposure last year following his placement on the XXL Freshmen 2020 list. Currently, his music is being pushed through Lamar and Dave Free’s still-cryptic pgLang imprint — Keem even appeared in that company’s promotional video earlier this year.

Fans heard from Keem last year during a published conversation with Kendrick Lamar. The two discussed Keem felt attributed to his growth:

I think that one thing that has helped me grow from last year to now is the little mini tour. I did the mini tour before all this going on, seeing how many people actually care about the music. It was tight seeing that and taking that home. I’m just grateful I got to experience that, because without that I don’t know where I would be right now. You were supposed to be out, I was supposed to be out. I’ve had a year to sit down and just think about the next experience.
