As 2020 was winding down, J.I.D unleashed a few of loosies for his fans to indulge in, including “Cludder (Freestyle)” and “Ballads” featuring Conway The Machine. The Atlanta rapper made them available only on select platforms at the time. Today, not only did he officially make him available on all streaming platforms, but he also revealed a remix of his “Bruuuh” track. For the revamped version, he taps rapper buddy Denzel Curry. On the track, J.I.D opens it up with his signature rhythm, hitting every pocket with his staccato flow:

D-D-D-D-Damn, said I’m back again to whoop ass. The blicka-blast from the ratchet, man. The maddest, blackest lad in a savage land. Of grab and dash and crash in your daddy’s van. D-D-D, D-D, Bad as the most havin’est, most swaggiest, braggy as never had anything. So I’m mackin’ as if I never had shit. Eyes movin’ backwards, I coulda hit a backflip, check this. I ain’t never hustled for a necklace. Tryna get the fam straight, get us out of debt, shit. That shit get testy. I feel Dizzy Gillespie, in the room pack me, Carl, Izzy, and Precious. Out the womb, I was last, I’m the youngest of seven.

Since the release of his critically acclaimed album, DiCaprio 2, J.I.D has been on the road and in the booth. He worked alongside his labelmates and other rap titans on Dreamville’s compilation album Revenge of The Dreamers III which earned them a Platinum plaque and two Grammy nominations (Best Rap Song, Best Rap Album). Last year, his collective Spillage Village released their Spilligion album. He has already hinted at his next project — the follow up to DiCaprio 2 (2018) and The Never Story (2017).
