Last August, Burna Boy delivered his fifth studio LP Twice As Tall, a genre-bending masterpiece that saw 15 tracks with additional features from Naughty by Nature, Youssou N’Dour, Sauti Sol, Chris Martin, and Stormzy. The album was considered a huge success, landing on various “Best Of” lists and charting all around the globe — it even landed at the top of the Billboard World Albums chart.

Perhaps looking to keep it’s momentum going, the Nigerian star reveals his latest video from the project for “Onyeka (Baby),” a love song that also honors Nigerian artist-activist Onyeka Onwenu. The subject matter is mainly centered around Burna Boy’s ups and downs with women:

“Abi na set up, you done do your booty, now your body better, I no go leave her never, never, never, never, make I no regret am, every day a different palava, the other day when I jam Natasha, she say I give lolade banana, but no be me do am, oh, na na na…/”

Directed by DK, the accompanying clip sees Burna in a residence and outside spending time with a love interest, dancing and having the type of fun many probably experienced this past Valentine’s Day weekend. It’s an upbeat feeling sure to bring some warmth during the remainder of these cold weather months.

As previously reported by REVOLT, Burna Boy spoke on how Diddy took on the executive producer role for Twice As Tall:

“I wanted this [album] to build a stronger bridge between, basically, all people of color … The album was already about 80 percent done before I got Diddy involved. Getting Diddy involved — first of all — me and Diddy are now one bridge. Then, it’s like a tree; it just keeps going.”
