It’s been nearly nine months since the last time we received a visual from Koffee, and her vibrant spirit was surely missed. The Jamaican star returned this week with her brand new music video “West Indies,” which she says is her gift to the Caribbean. The visual sees Koffee in her element, complete with gorgeous island views, family, and of course, a party at the end with everyone having a great time as Koffee delivers her feel-good lyrics:

Coming from the West Indies and you know say we giving them the best indeed/ Anywhere we there, we do a flеx ‘pon street and the style wherе we do no moderate stampede/ A no interfere, no bother question me and you try never look in my direction, GNew Bank Robber, no Bridget’s ‘pon fee

Oh, coming from the set concrete, yeah, if you know me, I’m having the time of my life/ Don’t you slow me down, beg you pardon me, I wanna just party (Yeah)

The new offering follows other dope cuts like “Pressure” and “Lockdown,” which were released a few months ago. “Pressure” boasts a remix featuring the Jamaica’s staple artist Buju Banton. Prior to that, Koffee liberated the EP Rapture in March of 2019 which saw five tracks and a single feature from Jane Macgizmo. That project went on to be a pivotal moment in her career as it brought her a Grammy win for Best Reggae Album that year.

Some notable collabs include her “W” single with Gunna, her star performance on J Hus’ Big Conspiracy album, the intro of Protoje’s In Search of Lost Time album, and also her feature on John Legend’s Bigger Love project.
