Last year, Emeli Sandé made a big return with the inspirational single “Family,” along with a match visual for her fans to enjoy. Today (Oct. 27), she follows that with “Look What You’ve Done,” a self-produced, garage-inspired offering that features assistance from Jaykae and sees the artists baring their souls to a special someone:

“I’ll shout it from the mountains, I’ll let it float across the breeze, you’re deep within my conscience, oh, you’ve made it to my dreams, I feel you in my blood stream, you’re in my DNA…”

Via press release, Emeli Sandé spoke more on the collaboration, which was first birthed during a visit to Switzerland and marks a special moment for her as a singer, songwriter, and producer:

“‘Look what you’ve done’ marks a big milestone for me. It’s my first release that I have produced and it feels so good to have my full creative fingerprint on it … The song is about the complete surrender we experience when falling in love and explores the euphoria which accompanies that loss of control in both mind and body. I hope it makes people fall in love, dream and of course dance!”

A little more than two years ago, Sandé liberated her third album REAL LIFE, a well-received body of work that boasted singles like “Sparrow,” “Extraordinary Being,” “Shine,” and “You Are Lot Alone.” Since that release, the Scottish talent continued to deliver equally dope cuts and collaborations, including “One of a Kind” with Ronan Keating, “I’ll Get There (The Other Side),” “Prayed Up,” “More of You” with Stonebwoy and Nana Rogues, and “Intermission” — the last song of which also acted as an announcement that Sandé was zeroing in on a completion of her next project.
