Bas and Girl Talk link up for new single “Fallin’”

The Pittsburgh-based producer shares his latest collab with the Dreamville rapper.

Bas & Girl Talk “Fallin’”

Bas has relatively calm on the music front as of lately, but he’s back with his latest offering, a joint track with Pittsburgh-bred producer Girl Talk for their new single “Fallin.’’

The last time the two collaborated, the result wound up on Dreamville’s Grammy-nominated Revenge of the Dreamers III project as the track “Outta Pocket.” However, the two were on each other’s radars long before that, as Girl Talk reveals in a statement about the inception of his relationship with Bas: “I first heard Bas on his Too High to Riot project in 2016. I was really into his range. He’s a technical rapper who also has an amazing melodic sense. It’s kind of difficult to define his style, which is something I always admire. When we linked up, I had a wide variety of beats ready for him. This was the first one that I played, and he was off and running!”

Although his last full-length solo project was Milky Way, which was released back in 2018, Bas has had his hand in a slew of singles since then such as FKJ’s “Risk,” Rexx Life Raj’s “No Permission Needed,” and Dua Saleh’s “RE(a)D.” Prior to that were his projects Too High To Riot and Spilled Milk, which were released in 2018 and 2019, respectively. Music news aside, he shared earlier this month he had a unique opportunity to design a shoe for an exclusive BAPE collaboration on behalf of Dreamville, alongside designer Rae Anaïs.

Girl Talk recently rounded up Smoke DZA, Wiz Khalifa, Big K.R.I.T., and Curren$y for the gang’s newest collab single “Santos Party House,” a groovy new cut that came paired with a cheeky animated visual to match. “Fallin’” also follows Girl Talk producing G Perico’s latest single “Toolie.”
