Nigeria’s very own Wande Coal released his newest EP Realms last Thursday (Sept. 10), featuring a new remix of his song “Again” that now includes a verse from Wale.

“Again” was initially released as a single back in February of this year. Wale’s verse about wanting someone’s attention again is relatable to current times, and even includes a reference to the ongoing pandemic:

Been optimistic but now my vision is different. Wish I can get your attention, it’s like your soul so crowded. Scars on your feelings, tatts on your body, mask ‘cause of COVID, can’t mask what what is flawless (Yeah, yeah).

Wale is one of two features on Wande Coal’s new project, alongside Sarz who appears on “Vex.” In addition to working with some of the the biggest stars in Africa, the Nigerian producer is also known for his collaborations with Beyoncé, Drake (“One Dance”), Skepta (“Energy”), and Chris Brown (Wizkid’s “African Bas Gyal”).

Wale was also recently featured on a single from another Nigerian artist, “A Million” by DMV-based singer Mannywellz. Wale’s last full-length project, Wow… That’s Crazy, was released in 2019 and included features from Rick Ross, Meek Mill, Kelly Price, Ari Lennox, and plenty more. More recently, he dropped off a six-track EP in June titled The Imperfect Storm.
