This day in age, there is a ton of debates, concerning Hip Hop, happening on social media (primarily Twitter) almost every day or every other day. During these debates and polls, various users ask questions that spark controversy or great dialogue by giving people a time to voice their opinions on best lyricists, producers, rap groups, etc. With these back and forth engagements in motion, it’s almost impossible to not mention The LOX when it comes to rap groups. Their legacy stretches back to 1998 and their impact is still intact across the industry and for up and coming artists. Today, the legendary rap group drop off their fourth studio album Living Off Xperience.

The LOX’s longevity is due in equal part to their rap skills and core values. Hard work and discipline are principles Ruff Ryders prided themselves on during their peak (as detailed in the BET documentary), which the group is thankful to have witnessed firsthand.

Living Off Xperience showcases the group’s signature gritty sound with the unrivaled lyricism that gets right to the heart of the battles we continue to fight on, while giving fans an inside look into their brotherhood, their growth from teenagers to men, and how they’ve stood the test of time together.

The project is equipped with fourteen songs in total with guest appearances from DMX, T-Pain, Jeremih, Westside Gunn, Benny The Butcher, Clay Dub, Dyce Payne, and Oswin Benjamin.

In a recent sit-down, Styles P discussed his thoughts on how other east coast rappers view them:

“I think people just like how organic we are and how real we are, and how we carry ourselves in the game — so they relate to that and try to look for that. And plus: we stand for loyalty. So I think they see that and want to acquire the same thing or figure out how we did it or why we did it.”
