Currently, Iggy Azalea is putting the finishing touches on her forthcoming album End Of An Era, which will follow last year’s In My Defense. This week, she blesses her fans with the first official single from the project titled “Dance Like Nobody’s Watching,” which features assistance from Tinashe and sees the collaborators living their lives to the fullest over production from The 87’s:
“Dance all night don’t my ass look right? Can’t pass on a chance raise your hands up like, you a superstar I might lose my bra, show come watch grab a brush mic drop/
Sold out concert in the bathtub, goodnight bad girls wanna have fun, moonwalk in the kitchen with my socks off, I’m all that, bag of chips and the hot sauce.../”
The accompanying lyric video sees the two beauties having a dope photo shoot, which is interspersed with other images to match the song’s subject matter. The clip also marks the first from Azalea since she gave birth to her son Onyx Carter, of whom Playboi Carti is the father. Whether or not an official, larger-scale visual will follow is yet to be seen.
Iggy Azalea first made big waves on the scene with 2011’s Ignorant Art, and continued to release well-received projects both on her own and as a part of T.I.’s Grand Hustle imprint, eventually inking a record deal with Def Jam. 2013 saw the release of high-charting singles like “Work,” “Bounce,” and the T.I.-assisted “Change Your Life.” The following year saw the release of “Fancy,” which still remains her biggest hit record to date, and her debut studio LP The New Classic, which earned Azalea a top three spot on the Billboard 200 with 55,000 album equivalent units sold.
