Westside Gunn and the Griselda family have to be some of the hardest working in hip hop right now. Just this past April, the Buffalo emcee-artist delivered his third studio LP Pray For Paris, which contained 13 new tracks and features from Tyler, The Creator, Freddie Gibbs, Wale, Boldy James, Joey BADA$$, Griselda cronies Conway The Machine and Benny The Butcher, and more. Currently, Pray For Paris stands as one of the most critically-acclaimed rap albums this year — this nod has apparently only given Westside Gunn and his team a reason to flood the streets with even more music.

This weekend, fans get to check out Flygod Is An Awesome God 2, which acts as the sequel to its 2019 predecessor. The new releases gives us 14 new tracks, as well as assists from Stove God Cooks, AA Rashid, Keisha Plum, Rome Streetz, and more. In addition to the usual subject matter, Westside Gunn also made sure to acknowledge the current Black Lives Matter movement, specifically in regards to an incident that took place in Buffalo with the police and protesters.

Speaking to REVOLT, Westside Gunn spoke on even more music that he planned on releasing to the masses, including a collaboration with Madlib:

“I was so focused on Pray For Paris, then we went on tour, and right after tour, the Corona[virus] s*** started getting real hectic during the last few days of tour. Thankfully, we were able to finish it. But, by the last two shows of the tour, I’m giving people the elbow. I’m not even dapping people up anymore. I was already like, ‘Ahh, man. S*** is real right now.’ Luckily, we got through it. This is the thing. It doesn’t take me long to make projects. I might get up with [Madlib] a week after the summer and do something around December.”
