It’s been roughly 15 years now that Gucci Mane has made himself relevant in the music industry — and these days, he doesn’t seem to be taking his foot off the gas any time soon. He’s actually one of the most consistent rappers in the history of rap with his extensive catalog (14 studio albums, 76 mixtapes, seven EPs). Being one of the most respected artists in the game today, Mr. Zone 6 himself continues to cement his legacy with the release of his new compilation album So Icy Summer.

If you ever had a doubt in your mind that Gucci was “falling off,” you might want to rethink that.

In a recently deleted tweet from earlier last month (June 11), Guwop lashed out against all major record labels as he called on every artist to stand with him in striking:

All artists let’s go on strike fuck these racist ass labels burn them down too #BlackLivesMatter #BlackExecsMatter fuck these crackers????

With this bold statement intact, the Atlanta rapper then took the time to apologize for his impulsive behavior while announcing that he won’t be going independent as fans hoped he would. His new So Icy Summer album is definitely one of his most cohesive bodies of work. Expanding over 24 records, the 10/17 head honcho secured features from Future, Young Thug, Lil Baby, 21 Savage, Young Nudy, Moneybagg Yo and more.

Additionally, Gucci Mane has been making some chess moves as he’s not only has his book in the works, he recently announced that he is solidifying his own brand with famous designer brand Gucci. Being the talented artist and businessman that we all know him to be, Guwop has a very promising future ahead of him as he continues to lay down his foundation.
