This September, Famous Dex will release his forthcoming album Diana in tribute to his late mother. To get fans ready, he liberates a new visual for “Couped Out,” which features assistance from Brooklyn drill star Fivio Foreign. The SethInTheKitchen-produced single also comes with a Mills Miller-directed video that shows the two collaborators all over New York, a guerrilla-style of filming frequently seen in Fivio’s own releases.

As far as subject matter, “Couped Out” is a high-energy effort about living the typical rapper lifestyle, and would probably get plenty of spins in the clubs — if they were currently open, of course:

“Pull up in the Bentley yeah it’s couped out, bad bitch and she got her t*** out, I got money, yeah, and I got my wrist out/

How I flex, young n***a flex, I got diamonds right up on my neck, get a check, yeah I do the best, she want sex but she give me neck…/”

“Couped Out” follows Dex’s collab with Tyga and Rich Forever head honcho Rich The Kid titled “What I Like,” which acts as the lead single from Diana. In a recent interview with XXL, he also revealed that forthcoming release will feature addition collaborations from DaBaby, Trippie Redd, Diplo, and Wiz Khalifa, among others. Last month, the Chicago star delivered an appetizer of sorts to his fans titled Where’s Dexter,” which saw eight tracks and features from OG 3Three, Quando Rondo, Warhol.SS, Lil Tjay, and more.

The new single also marked Fivio’s latest venture outside of Brooklyn drill, following his appearance on PHresher’s hard-hitting cut “All The Smoke (Remix).” Recently, Fivio was also featured on the deluxe edition of Pop Smoke’s posthumous release Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon, providing assistance on “Showin Off Pt. 1” and “Showin Off Pt. 2.”
