Summer Walker delivers quite well with this one.

Ever since Summer Walker stepped on the scene two years ago in 2018, it’s been pretty obvious that she’s here to stay and there’s no doubt about it. The release of her debut studio album Over It in 2019 cemented the start of her legacy as the entire album was filled with audio dope from top to bottom — and she isn’t done yet! Just a day after her stellar BET Awards 2020 performance (“Session 32” and “Come Thru” with Usher), Summer Walker announced that her brand new EP Life On Earth would drop today and as we hoped, she kept her promise.

Earlier this year in February, Summer announced that she was done making music after 2020 concluded. It’s no secret that she has had a hard time in the spotlight. The R&B songstress has been open about her struggles with social anxiety and how difficult its been managing the disorder while working in the music industry. Due to this unfortunate condition, Summer has cancelled shows along with meet-and-greets — in which she garnered some strong scrutiny for from fans across the globe.

While many artists have proclaimed their supposed retirement from music on social media (cough cough, Ms. Minaj), at this point, it looks like Summer is pretty serious about her position.

Equipped with 5 records in total, the Life On Earth EP features NO1-NOAH and none other than OVO’s own PARTYNEXTDOOR. While this serves as the appetizer to something much more fulfilling in the near future (hopefully), Summer Walker did exactly what needed to be done Life On Earth.

If you’re reading this, say a quick prayer that Summer has a change of heart by the end of the year and continue to deliver vibrant music for our pleasure. Check out Life On Earth EP below and set the vibes for your date night.
