Currently, YG is said to be working on his forthcoming album Laugh Now Kry Later, a project that he announced back in May. In addition, he’s provided the title track, along with previous releases like the Kehlani-assisted “Konclusions” and “Mamacita” with Tyga and Santana. He also continued his protest front, following up the scathing 2016 single “FDT (F*** Donald Trump)” with “FTP (F*** The Police),” along with a visual showing him on the front lines of the L.A. demonstrations. He’s been helping his city outside of music, as well — last month also saw YG teaming up with Mustard to deliver $100,000 meals to communities across Los Angeles, partnering with Postmates and other, smaller organizations to complete the task.

Today, he blesses his fans with a new single titled “Swag,” which initially caught attention for its striking, Colin Kaepernick-inspired artwork. The same outfit can also be seen in the matching visual, which also shows YG and many others dancing to the infectious lyrics in different scenes:

“Hop in the whip and I smash, on the way to the bag, slim thick, my type, she bad, hold up let me get in my bag, swag, swag, swag, swag, swag, swag, swag, swag/

One call they pull up fast, wrong move that pistol blast, I’m dressed in all black, match my Glock I think I’m Shaft, swag, swag, swag, swag, swag, swag, swag, swag…/”

Upon its release, Laugh Now Kry Later will follow YG’s fourth studio LP 4Real 4Real, which saw 14 tracks with features from Tyga, Valee, Boogie, Meek Mill, Kamaiyah, G-Eazy, Ty Dolla $ign, and more. Prior to that, he dropped off the equally dope Stay Dangerous, which boasted the posse cut “Big Bank” alongside Big Sean, Nicki Minaj, and 2 Chainz.

Press play on “Swag” below. Laugh Now Kry Later should be making landfall soon.
