Back in 2018, The Diplomats made a big return to music with their third studio album Diplomatic Ties, which saw nine new tracks and features from Tory Lanez, Trav, Belly, and The LOX. Presumably a vault gem, the Harlem quartet have unveiled a visual from the project for “By Any Means,” which sees the group talking their usual talk over production from J Armz:

“By any means necessary, couple million buried in the cemetery. Beamer, Benz or Bentley, jealous n***as envy/

Gotta me grippin’ heavy ‘case a n***a tempt me, they ain’t really ready, they ain’t really ready, I’m really deadly, p***y, quick to pop a n***a cherry/

All my women sexy, all my women sexy, always in designer, watch how you address me/

Hopped off the porch at a young age, hopped in the Porsche at a young age…/”

Directed by Jim Jones and Shula The Don, The Diplomats flex in a studio while different images can be seen behind them throughout. Viewers are also treated to some live performance footage of the crew. At the end, Jim Jones teases us with some new music while on a yacht with some impressive eye candy behind him.

With Juelz Santana soon to be out of prison and Jim Jones and Cam’ron staying active with their own solo efforts, it’s hopeful that there is more coming from The Dips as a whole. Speaking to Interview Magazine, they broke down how they felt hip hop has changed musically since their major successes:

“There’s good and bad things that have happened in the rap game the past 14 years. A good thing is access—a kid can just make music in his room and toss it up on the internet. When we were coming up, we had to hustle to get our music and mixtapes out there. We had to get someone to print up these CDs. We had to put them in the shops and hit the pavement. I think that helped us learn the ropes, which kids these days don’t necessarily get to do.”
