Earlier this year, Mac Miller’s estate released his sixth studio album, Circles. On Friday (March 20), the deluxe edition to the LP appeared on all streaming platforms.

Back in January 2020, during a conversation with Vulture, producer Jon Brion, spoke about his work on Miller’s posthumously released album.

“When [Miller’s] family came to me, it was one of the most memorable days of my life, because a little bit of time had passed, but it was very, very, very fresh for parents who had lost a kid,” Brion recalled. “They asked me to see it through. I said I would.”

Around that same time, Miller’s family shared a heartfelt message to Instagram about the significance of the rapper’s music before his untimely death. As fans might recall, the Swimming musician passed away in September 2018 after an accidental overdose.

“This is a complicated process that has no right answer. No clear path. We simply know that it was important to Malcolm for the world to hear it. One of the most difficult decisions in the process is how best to let people know about it, how to communicate meaningfully while keeping sacred what should be kept sacred,” the post read.

The statement continued, “So this will be the only post on any of his channels. Information regarding this release, his charity, and Malcolm himself will be found at @92tilinfinity. Thank you to all the fans who’ve supported him unconditionally through the years. We miss him. We are left to imagine where Malcolm was going and to appreciate where he was. We hope you take the time to listen. The look on his face when everyone was listening said it all.”

In addition to Circles, Miller also released Swimming, GO:OD AM, Watching Movies With The Sound Off, Live From Space and The Divine Feminine. Check out the deluxe edition to Circles below.
