Jamaica’s very own Shenseea has just delivered her latest single “Bad Alone,” which comes accompanied with a music video to heighten the excitement of the track. In the visual, the star arrives in a Jeep to a warehouse to link up with her bad gyal entourage, only to have things go left as Shenseea delivers her gritty verse:

Me a one gyal weh no talky talky my mouth never mek. Fi run and me is a gyal weh no fraid fi war and me no fraid fi buss gun. The black matic, tougher than a dunce head a school. In nuh drop ne guard ever inna murderer mood. Bad alone bitch dat a the truth plus a bay bad gyal roll inna me bomboclaat crew.

Most recently, Shenseea can be heard on Masego’s freshly released EP Studying Abroad on the stand out single “Silver Tongue Devil,” and she blesses the visual with her island beauty as well. In 2020, she also dropped off her singles “Rude Gyal,” “Sure Sure,” “The Sidechick Song,” “Wasabi,” “Lighter” and assisted others on songs like DJ Frass’ “Good Comfort” and Gold Up’s “Belong With Me.” Her popular single “Blessed” single has made waves in the music scene, peaking at Number 2 on Billboard’s Reggae digital.

“I still have my tone of voice and everything, but just try to change a majority of the lines, of the words, and how I express certain things that I want to say, just so you guys can understand even more. I am coming. Even if they can’t pronounce the name or remember, they will remember quite soon enough. I said that when I was just coming on the scene — the first time I started doing music, nobody could pronounce my name properly. And what I told them is still valid — it will roll off your tongue quite soon, don’t worry. And so said, so done. Now everybody’s saying Shenseea.”
