At the top of the month, MadeInTYO shared his Never Forgotten project. The rapper gifts fans today with a double decker visual for two cuts off the album, “To The Moon” and “Throw It Back.” The new video sees TYO dancing in the streets of a futuristic city, then switches to the second half of him dancing on the moon as he flows:

“First class for my son to get the leg room. Murakami on the wall, still watchin’ cartoons. If I had another jet, I’d take you to the moon. Made it rain last night, shawty need a broom. First class for my son to get the leg room. Murakami on the wall, still watchin’ cartoons. If I had another jet, I’d take you to the moon. Made it rain last night, shawty need a broom.”

At 17-tracks long, the Atlanta rapper called upon a stacked list of collaborators including the likes of J Balvin, Toro y Moi, Young Nudy, Ty Dolla Sign, Cam’ron, Lucki, BJ the Chicago Kid, Wiz Khalifa, 24hrs, Na-Kel Smith, and the late Chynna for the project. Leading up to the album, Tokyo recruited Chance the Rapper and Smino for the “BET Uncut” video, an obvious homage to that BET era directed by TYO’s older brother David “FilthyMcDave” Hightower. In 2020, MadeInTYO has contributed to a slew of singles, including “Square B**ch” with A$AP Ferg, “Move Ya Hips” with Ferg again and Nicki Minaj, “Tokyo Nights” with Tm88, and “Vintage Like Lee” with Vintage Lee. MadeInTYO’s last studio album was Sincerely, Tokyo which dropped back in 2018.

In a previous interview, MadeInTYO delved into who else he’d love to collab with one day:

“I get excited when some of my fans tell me that I’m underrated and I tell them I love that s***. I love that because there was a time I wasn’t rated at all and now underrated I’m like ‘n***** is rating me it’s lit. Like I’m blessed to even talk about it. All the people that are playing my music are family. I love M.I.A she stands out. Me and Pharrell got in the studio but we haven’t finished that’s another person that was on that list. He’s still somebody that I would like to work with. It’s really like M.I.A and Pharrell and it’s funny because they worked together. The industry is so small but it’s just a matter of time.”
