SAINt JHN, the artist who refuses to be boxed in, just dropped off his latest single “Gorgeous.” The song is set to appear on his upcoming project While The World Was Burning, which is coming very soon. On the new song, SAINt cops whatever he pleases:

“Wanted the Rari’, I walked up and bought it. I don’t even think I thought twice that I thought it. N****s on, never goin’ back where I started. Chopped off the roof, I could see where my God is. I wanted the Spider, I walked up and bought it. I don’t even think I thought twice that I thought it. Drivin’ ‘round the same hood that I starved in.”

SAINt JHN’s last full-length project was 2019’s Ghetto Lenny’s Love Songs, which included a lone feature from Janelle Kroll. Prior to that was his critically acclaimed debut Collection One. He has locked in major wins all throughout his career, which kicked off when he wrote songs for stars like Beyonce, Usher, Jidenna, and Rihanna. Last year, he appeared alongside Wizkid on Bey’s “Brown Skin Girl,” the lead single off of The Lion King: The Gift album.

In more recent news, SAINt JHN appeared on Octavian’s ”Famous” track alongside Gunna. He’s currently gearing up for his performance on the BBMA’s on Oct. 14, which is just a few days before his new project is reportedly going to drop.

In an interview with REVOLT, SAINt JHN shared how is instincts told him it was time to put his all into his solo career:

“The clock wound up for me. Not to sound metaphorical. But, I saw a window [and] I had an inclination. My instincts told me it was now. Writing for people is cool if that’s your dream, if that’s what you set your sights on. But, it’s not what I set my sights on. It was something I felt was an opportunity I needed to exhaust… [It didn’t come] easily. But, if it came, then I’ll value it.”
