This Friday, Omarion will release his fifth album The Kinection, which will see 12 tracks and additional appearances from Ghostface Killah, T-Pain, Busy Signal, and more. Before the album drops, he shares another single titled “Mutual,” which sees him reuniting with his Maybach Music brother Wale. The track sees the two artists waxing poetic about a special someone that shares their respective physical and mental interests:

“Let the n***a roll up somethin’ special, baby, I know you’re used to failures, can I get deep inside your psyche? You ain’t gotta do all of that extra for me, when it’s all done, when it’s all done, when it’s all done we just want what we want/

I get you off when I’m talkin’ that deep, girl, take it off, let me look at that freak, ’cause the feeling is so mutual, it’s so mutual…/”

Taking to social media, Omarion revealed that the track was created back in 2016 with the help of Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge. This year, Greg Curtis Sr. put his final touches on it to ensure that the single would be sample-free, and now fans are able to enjoy the finished product in full.

The Kinection will follow 2017’s Care Package 4, a four-track offering that saw a single assist from C’zar. His last album, Sex Playlist, made landfall in 2014 and saw features from Chris Brown, Jhené Aiko, James Fauntleroy, Jeremih, and MMG boss Rick Ross.

In a recent interview with REVOLT, Omarion spoke on how he’s been faring during the still-active quarantine:

“To be completely honest, when I’m not working or traveling or on the road and doing shows, my home is really my safe haven. This is a piece of cake, I’m chillin’. I’m at the crib. I’m getting work done. My kids still have school via FaceTime. Nothing has stopped. Quarantine life is like taking a break from the road.”
