Gucci Mane drops ‘So Icy Gang (Vol. 1)’ featuring Mulatto, Pooh Shiesty, Key Glock, and more

The new compilation project shows off a packed roster.

Gucci Mane has been perfecting his line up, and now he’s finally ready to unveil the team with a new compilation project titled So Icy Gang (Vol. 1). The 19-track project rounds up a handful of names that rap fans are likely to already be familiar with, but presents them as a newly formed squad. The New 1017 consists of several artists signed to Gucci’s record label, 1017 Eskimo. So Icy Gang Vol. 1 boasts appearances by Pooh Shiesty, Foogiano, Tay Keith, Mulatto, K Shiday, Enchanting, Big30, Roboy, Big Scarr, Quentin Miller, Veeze, and Key Glock.

On the previously released single “Meeting” with Guwop himself, Foogiano, and Mulatto, Gucci kicks the track off strong:

“Mega mansion, all in the crib, Versace furnished it. No shows in six months and I ain’t stuntin’ it. If diamonds ain’t on her bag, then I ain’t f**kin’ it. Couple basic b**ches got in back then, but that was luckily. Can’t meet me in my bedroom if that b**ch ugly. Had to stop the track and catch my breath, lil’ mama suckin’ me.”

Shiday and Enchanting released the mixtape’s lead single, “No Luv,” on August 14, 2020; Big Scarr released the second single, “Endzone,” on August 28; and Pooh Shiesty released the third single, “Twerksum,” on September 9. Back in July, Mulatto linked up with Gucci on her song “Muwop,” which is a flip of Gucci’s “Freaky Girl.”

When he’s not busy leading the label, Gucci was working on his newest book titled The Gucci Mane Guide to Greatness, which is out now. “This book should touch people who are going through something,” Guwop said of the new book, which is the follow-up to his 2017 autobiography. “It’s not going to be easy. But study these words and put them into action. I want this book to keep you motivated.”
