Yesterday (Aug. 31), Safaree took to social media to share his gratitude for Sean Kingston taking him in after he went broke for two years.

“In 2016/17, I went broke and was living [with] Sean Kingston for almost [two] [years]. I am [forever] grateful to this man [and] his family!” the “Love & Hip Hop” star captioned an Instagram picture of the pair. “At [one] of my lowest times in life, he held me down like no other!”

He continued, “That’s why I don’t pay attention to this internet s**t. My level of love and respect for the family is beyond measures! I really appreciate and thank you all! I love y’all [forever] from the bottom of my heart! Mamakingston, Kanemaroyal, I could go on [forever], but I just wanna say thank y’all! Being there for [someone] when they have nothing is a lot different than being there when it’s all good [prayer hand emoji]. Be kind [because] you never know what somebody is going through.” [Red heart and prayer hand emojis]. Check out the post below.

In other related news, the father of two recently shared his opinion on men receiving child support. He believes that women should be the only one to receive it. “A man getting child support is crazy. He might as well put on a dress,” Safaree tweeted. This comment follows the most recent news surrounding Halle Berry and her ex-husband, Olivier Martinez.

According to documents obtained by PEOPLE, Berry’s divorce settlement from Martinez has been finalized after nearly eight years. The pair, who are co-parents to their son Maceo, 9, also reached a child support agreement. The two will share joint legal custody with Berry paying Martinez $8,000 a month. The Oscar winner also agreed to pay the actor “4.3 percent of any income she receives above $2,000,000” in additional support. She will also handle the costs of their son’s private school tuition, uniforms and school supplies, as well as any extracurricular activities and agreed to pay Martinez back for any of these costs from the 2023/2024 school year.
