For 35 long years, Viennese artist André Heller was unable to physically bask in the glory of Luna Luna, one of the most prized accomplishments of his career. Luna Luna is a famous amusement park opened by Heller back in 1987 in Hamburg, Germany. It housed contemporary works of art from the likes of Jean-Michel Basquiat, Salvador Dalí, Keith Haring, and more that made up the functional rides and attractions. Unfortunately, it was closed briefly after it opened.

Yesterday (Nov. 17), the exciting announcement arrived about a new investor who will help resurrect Luna Luna. Revealed as the final figure needed to make the comeback a reality, Drake proudly stepped in to assist in saving the irreplaceable classic art landmark.

“When I first heard about Luna Luna, I was blown away,” the “God’s Plan” rapper said in a statement. “It’s such a unique and special way to experience art. This is a big idea and opportunity that centers around what we love most: bringing people together.”

“It’s an undeniable project,” added Anthony Gonzales, the new chief executive of Luna Luna and a partner in Drake’s DreamCrew, the rapper’s all-purpose business and management network. “I think we’re actually built better than any other resource to make this a reality. We exist in live events, we exist in culture, we understand the art world and being artist-friendly.”

In related news, the Toronto superstar has also kept his fans fed throughout this year in terms of music releases. Back in June, he dropped off Honestly, Nevermind, his 14-track surprise project that was largely influenced by elements of dance music. At the top of this month, he teamed up with 21 Savage for Her Loss, a joint body of work that included a single guest feature from Travis Scott.
