Last Friday (Jan. 21), iann dior unveiled his sophomore studio LP on to better things, which will contain 15 genre-bending cuts and assist from Lil Uzi VertTravis Barker, and Machine Gun Kelly — the last two of whom appear on dior‘s latest single “thought it was” that he dropped off preceding the full project release.

The latest official visual from on to better things is the newly revealed “complicate it.” The stunning new video opens up with an intense scene of iann sitting alone in a bath tub before he fully submerges himself. Then, a completely new world underwater is unveiled to him as starts to he explore his new surroundings while his lyrics play:

I’m sick of being in the same situation with you, hard times getting harder every day to consume/ You mix lies with what happened, got me thinking it’s true, you always complicate it/ I’m sick of being in the same situation with you, hard times getting harder every day to consume

You mix lies with what happened, got me thinking it’s true, you always complicate it/ Girl, why you playin’? Life could be amazing, but we go through these phases/ I don’t think that I could change ya

The newly released on to better things project follows last April’s Still Here, a two-track offering that saw a contribution from Trippie Redd on “shots in the dark.” Prior to that, the Corpus Christi, TX star liberated the EP I’m Gone, with housed “Sick and Tired” — another dope collab with Barker and MGK. His last full body of work, the 15-song Industry Plant, made landfall in 2019.
