Ari Lennox will no longer be available for interviews. The singer announced the news on Friday (Jan. 21) after her uncomfortable conversation with “Podcast and Chill” host Macgyver “MacG” Mukwevho.

The chat, which aired on YouTube earlier this week, saw MacG and Lennox discuss a few topics, but things went left when he asked an inappropriate question about her sex life. “[Is] anyone fucking you good right now?” the podcaster inquired. Caught off guard, the “Pressure” singer, who was visibly shaken, immediately expressed confusion and shock.

“Oh my God…whoa there! That’s a wild question,” she said. “Why ask it that way? Whoa.” MacG then explained that he was referencing statements she made in her song “Pop.”

In the days since the interview aired, the clip has gone viral, and Lennox has shared her true thoughts about her experience on MacG’s show.

“I’m just like… why was I alone on a call full of people? Why didn’t anyone intervene?” she asked before revealing that her request to cut out parts of the video was ignored. “Why wasn’t parts of the interview destroyed like the team promised? Why did it happen to begin with?” The “BMO” singer then admitted that she feels “ambushed” and “blindsided.”

“Just because I happily and freely sing/write about sex don’t make any kind of creepy disrespect warranted. I clearly was in immense shock and hate that I didn’t react differently But fuck it!” Lennox continued. “I don’t want anyone feeling sorry for me. I’m tired of the narrative. Exhausted. I’m good I promise. But as for interviews I’m not doing them anymore. There’s enough lives and interviews out there already. I’ve been my most happiest creating music and exploring life sober. I’m not allowing anything to tamper with my peace anymore.”
