Silk Sonic is taking over Las Vegas this spring with their first-ever residency, the duo’s Anderson. Paak and Bruno Mars announced on Wednesday (Jan. 19). The Grammy-nominated R&B duo will perform a series of shows at the city’s Dolby Live venue starting on Feb. 25.

“It’s happening! The sexiest party of the year! Them Silk Sonic Boyz are performing Live in Las Vegas!” Mars wrote on Twitter.

Pre-sale tickets for the series of shows will be available today at 1 p.m. EST, with general ticket sales starting at 1 p.m. EST this Friday (Jan. 21). Currently Silk Sonic is listed for 13 weekend shows at the 5,200-seat theater from Feb. 25 through April 2.

According to Variety, attendees at the shows will be subjected to Dobly Live’s COVID-19 rules, which may require guests to show proof of full vaccination, a negative COVID-19 test or a rapid on-site test.

Las Vegas will also be the new hosting site of the 2022 Grammy Awards, which will take place on April 3, the day after Silk Sonic’s residency ends, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. As reported by REVOLT, the awards ceremony was previously postponed from its initial Jan. 31 date due to rising COVID-19 cases.

Silk Sonic’s breakout hit “Leave the Door Open” is nominated for four awards at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song. The track previously earned the superstar duo trophies at the 2021 Soul Train Music Awards, 2021 MTV Video Music Awards and 2021 American Music Awards.
