Back in October, Ryan Trey dropped off his new project A 64 East Saga. The 14-track body of work is named after his late night drives by himself down this crucial highway that runs through his home city of St. Louis. To kick off his new year strong, he has dropped off his latest visual from the project today (Jan. 11) as he shares the official music video for “Slide,” a fan-favorite from the LP. On the track, Trey smoothly rides the beat co-produced by Neil Dominique and Rolex:
I’ma slide, I’ma check in, oh-ooh, she got a best friend, oh-ooh, creepin’ on the West end (West end) oh-ooh, make a first impression, yeah/ Slide on her and invest in it (Ah) oh-ooh, do you got a second? (Yeah), oh-ooh, you ain’t even gotta question, ooh, ooh
The visual, directed by Joshua Valle, finds the star venturing to the strip club with his boys to alleviate his heartaches. Despite his girlfriend trying to contact him, Trey slowly becomes engulfed in temptation with a certain someone at the club. He enjoys his night, and by the final scene, a drunken Ryan finds himself in a daze, thinking he sees his girlfriend at the club when in reality, it’s the dancer who caught his attention from earlier on.
In other exciting news, the St. Louis star has just been featured in BAPE and Reebok’s brand new collaboration on the sneaker’s Club C and Instapump Fury featuring Bryson Tiller and Nia Sultana. He will also be heading out on the road to play two shows. He will first perform at The Echo in LA on Jan. 20 and then hit Baby’s All Right in New York on Jan. 25.
