Rapper-turned-politician Shyne became the latest guest on N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN’s “Drink Champs,” where he spoke on pretty much everything past and present — his rap career with Bad Boy and Def Jam, his decade-long prison stint, his rise to political power in Belize, and much more. One interesting moment came with N.O.R.E. asked Shyne about an apparent rumor that had the “Bad Boyz” talent associated with the Bloods while he was incarcerated. In response, the man also known as Moses Barrow made it clear that he did his best to spread love to virtually everyone:

“I loved everybody. I was a leader that I am today. I was a leader. I was in there stopping people from killing each other, stopping people from inflicting violence against each other, and, you know, I did what I had to do to survive. But I was a leader, I took care of everybody. I took care of everybody. It didn’t matter your affiliation, you know, it didn’t really matter–you know, some people had certain type of charges that I really didn’t want anything to do with, child molestation, you know, rapists, etcetera. But, um, no, no, no, I was a leader. I love people. I’m a humanitarian, and that’s what I was about. Maybe there were certain people that loved me more than other people, but I was all about everyone.”

As previously reported by REVOLT, Shyne revealed that he would be returning to music — specifically for some accompaniment to a forthcoming film about himself:

“I will be doing a bio movie and bio documentary as well as a bio TV series, which will all have corresponding soundtracks,” he said. “I will be making music for those. But for those projects, not for a career, just as an attachment to those projects. You can’t have a movie without a soundtrack. And so I would have to create music for the movie and for the documentary.”
