Leikeli47 is back. This week, the Virginia-to-New York talent liberates a new single titled “Chitty Bang,” which features production from Michael Barney and sees Leikeli47 letting loose with some of her hardest-hitting raps to date:
“Back again up in this motherfucker! Entertaining for you motherfuckers, come for my M’s you get this double-double, fo-fo straight to your brother, in this game because I love the trouble, so watch yo’ tone and still wanna rumble, you niggas pop shit, like my nigga, did you forget we know you not wit’, any inch of the real shit, so nigga stop it, I ain’t knockin’ your little hustle, but watch it, I would hate to hear that loud oooh…”
It’s been about a couple of years since we last first Leikeli47 on the equally top-tier “Zoom,” after which the mysterious talent seemingly took another hiatus. Her last official LP, the well-received Acrylic, mad landfall back in 2018 and boasted dope cuts like “Girl Blunt,” “No Reload,” and “Tic Boom.”
In a past interview with REVOLT, tour manager Paul Anthony Ashby spoke on his relationship with Leikeli47 and how the rapper expresses so much behind her many masks:
“People think with the mask that she doesn’t have a personality, but Leikeli has one of the biggest personalities of anyone I’ve met in life. The way she is onstage, how she dances and interacts with the crowd, is exactly who she is off the stage. We’d have meetings about what she wanted to do in terms of how she wanted to set up her merch and she paid for her merch out of her own pocket. She was like, ‘I want my fans to have this. I want my fans to have options. I want them to really be engaged with my show.’ She was phenomenal.”
Press play on “Chitty Bang.”
