Almost five years after the release of his 2016 debut album Introverted Intuition, Lance Skiiiwalker returned in September with his new EP Tales From the Telescope Chapter 1: Rebirth. That project included a sole assist from Nick Hakim.

Shortly after, he decided it’s time for a follow up and circled back to share the official second installment Tales From the Telescope Chapter 2: Internal Sunshine. The freshly released body of work project consists of five tracks, including a continuation of “Commentary” from the first edition, and boasts some guest appearances from names like TDE’s very own SiR and MIA GLADSTONE. On the SiR-assisted intro, the two fuse their vocals together to create an unforgettable mood:

You know it’s what we livin’ for, buyin’ things you know we can’t afford/ Makes me, “Ooh, damn,” I want it more, extra days, baby, ain’t workin’ for/ We need more time and longer days, know it’s real, materialistic slaves but it’s my thing, it’s what I feel not really sure what happiness it brings

Mental, I can’t lose it, oh, now, ’cause Lord, I need to use it, use it/ Busy making music oh, now, it’s precious, I can’t lose it, can’t lose it

A few weeks ago, Lance made sure to take some time to express a few words of direct reflection about his career in music. “Beginning as a producer, music has always and will always be an self reflection and inward projection first,” he types on Instagram. “These last few years I’ve invested more into myself than ever before: engineering, new equipment, software, and studying. All of that said, I’ve gained so much value in doing something new by expanding my network.”
