Good news for Termanology fans — earlier this month, the Massachusetts emcee took to social media to reveal that his classic body of work Shut Up and Rap has officially landed on all streaming platforms. Even better is the fact that he also owns the masters to said project:

“Great News! “Shut up and rap” is now available on all platforms… and I own the MASTER now. So if you support this, the profit goes to me now. Go run that up and tap in, especially if u never heard it before.”

Released back in 2014, Shut Up and Rap came with 15 tracks and a wealth of additional features from Willie The Kid, Lumidee, Inspectah Deck, Chris Rivers, Wais P, Chasen Hampton, and more. One big standout from the album was “Get Away,” which saw assists from Skyzoo, Torae, and Reks and sampled Bob James’ classic “Feel Like Making Love” — the same one that will.i.am used on Common‘s Finding Forever hit “I Want You.” The nostalgic boom rap production made for the perfect backdrop as the collaborators delivered real-life subject matter on wax:

“Fresh off tour, been on the road for a whole year, back to back, beer-liquor-beer, beer-liquor-beer, hangover, headache, let my dome ventilate, reflect on the disrespectful words that I said to Jake, last night, too bent, runnin’ off at the mouth, drunk words, sober thoughts, easier to spit it out, feelin’ like I need a vacay, been up for 8 days, stage after stage, afterparty, parade, let me explain, baby girl my energy’s drained, I ain’t tryna fuck, just give me head and I’m straight…”

Long-time fans and first-time listeners can press play on Shut Up and Rap below. Also included — Termanology decided to close out 2021 with a fresh cut titled “Get It Right Now,” which features Anoyd and sees production from Jam.
