Carmella Wallace, Juice WRLD’s mother, is not happy with people who decide to leak her late son’s unreleased music.

In an interview with XXL, Wallace says she knows her son is adored by his fans and they are eager for new music from the Chicago rapper, but she wants the music to be complete before it comes out.

“I understand they loved him. They loved his music, but there’s a proper way to do it,” she said. “Let us give you our best. Leaked music is not necessarily cleaned up music, it’s just leaked, it’s not finished. So, it’s just a lot of work just going into it. It’s a bit disrespectful to him, honestly, to leak his music like that. But I know that monster is there, been there and it’s not going anywhere. We can just do our part and put out good music. He made a lot of good music.”

As REVOLT previously reported, Juice passed away in Dec. 2019 from an accidental overdose. At the time of his death, he reportedly had 2,000 unreleased tracks in the vault. Many of those singles were featured on his two posthumous LPs, Legends Never Die and Fighting Demons.

Earlier this month. Wallace penned an emotional letter to her late son on what would have been his 23rd birthday. “If you were here, I am sure that I would have said something like how it seemed like just yesterday that you were born,” she wrote. “I know that I would have told you how proud I was of the man you became and your commitment to changing lives. I miss celebrating your birthday and all the good times that we shared. I have so many wonderful memories of you that will live in my heart forever.”

Wallace also reminisced about the “Lucid Dreams” rapper’s 9th birthday, when he found one of his gifts early.
