Come January, NLE Choppa will release second studio LP Me vs. Me, which will see 16 tracks and is led by the previously released singles “Mmm Hmm,” “I.Y.B.,” “Final Warning,” and “Jumpin” with Polo G. Last week, the Memphis emcee added to that with “Drop Shit,” a Taz Taylor, Nick Mira, Mason Wu, and Cxdy-produced tune that sees him rapping about women, street life, and more:

“Brodie posted on the block with a fully loaded Glock, when he see a opp, bet that he gon’ pop it, who would ever thought that I’d be on top? Signing bitches titties in the crowd while they doing mosh pits, get a bitch from after the show, give her dick ’til she throw up, I got her and friends saying that I’m toxic, nigga think that I’m a ho, it’s gon’ go up, I been a lot of shit in my life but a bitch, I am not it…”

“Drop Shit” also sees a visual courtesy of No More Heroes and Jerry Morka, which begins with footage of NLE Choppa performing — and signing autographs on — his fans. Things then quickly switch to heavy holiday themes, with Choppa chopping down his own tree, watching his kids open presents, becoming his own version of Santa Claus, taking down the opps with his family, and more.

Upon its release, Me vs. Me will follow last year’s mixtape From Dark To Light, a 13-track body of work that saw contributions from Big Sean and Ink — the project was also notable for containing more positive, inspirational subject matter than previous efforts. 2020 also saw the XXL Freshman alum liberate his official debut album Top Shotta, which featured assistance from Latto, Roddy Ricch, Chief Keef, and Lil Baby over 20 songs.
