There are many people in the entertainment and music industries who claim to have expert-level skills and be one of the best at what they do, but very few actually are. However, for director, editor and cinematographer Alex Acosta, he is all of this and more.

Born and raised in Bronx, New York; the creative’s storytelling skills have taken him not just across the country but around the world. He’s produced some of the most popular music videos and TV projects out there and has no plans of slowing down anytime soon.

As head of his very own production company, Prestige Film Works, Acosta has worked in the biz for over 10 years. Some of the many A-list clientele who’ve hired him to add his creative touch to their music videos include, but aren’t limited to, Chris Brown, Rick Ross, Wale, City Girls, Jadakiss, Flo Rida, Jason Derulo, Shy Glizzy, Juicy J, Gorilla Zoe, Paul Wall, and many more. In terms of his featured productions, the talent has created work that’s aired on several major networks such as ESPN, BET, MTV, FUSE, ABC… and, oh yeah, REVOLT!

That’s right. Acosta served as the director on season one of REVOLT’s new digital series “Respectfully Justin.” His work on the show helped make it such a mega success.

Other media entities that Acosta has contributed to include “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” “The Today Show,” “Good Morning America,” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” as well Atlantic Records, Samsung, Celsius, iLoud, La’lpina Water, and the NBA.

The creative hopes to take his talents to the big screens in the very near future and with a resume like his, that’s doesn’t seem too far out of reach. His website reads, “As he continues to direct and produce new projects to come, it’s no surprise that Alex has plans to develop his talents without bounds.” Got that right.
